HI AGAIN,I NEED TO PURCHASE THE OUTRIGGER TUBING TO REPAIR THE CHASSIS ,IS THIS READILY AVAILABLE AND WHAT PRICE WILL I BE LOOKING TO PAY,HAS ANY ONE BOUGHT ANY OF LATE THANKS AGAIN KEV

I can measure mine if you need me to but I'm sure someone will enlighten us shortly.

I know it is a standard size available from steel stockholders.
The standard stuff is fairly cheap, there is also a seamless option which I struggle to see the benefit of and it is considerably more expensive.

Mine was seamless and galvanised and was not that expensive (under £100 for both outriggers, the sleeving and outer sheath of the two large bore outriggers and the front section diagonal strength pieces). Can't give the exact price though as my friendly welder bought it.

Be careful welding Galv - it gives off zinc oxide fumes which are deadly yikes

I bought some a couple of months ago 1.5" 16swg cost about £17.00 for 6 meters.

my out riggers need replacing,what is involved in sleeving the large chassis tube,iam sorry if this sound a daft question ,looking at all options with the body off kev

There was a thread on here with pics (keTVRin thread I think) but essentially you put a slightly smaller tube inside the cut back original large bore tube and weld the tube in place protruding the required distance then push the correct size new tube on the end and weld in place. You can add additional strength by drilling through both tubes and then welding the holes to create a "spot weld" effect as well
